Braeden Collett and Brennan Williams were curious about their basement neighbors at school. Their audio-visual classroom studio is right next to the maintenance crew. For their winning podcast, “Whodunnit?,” the middle-schoolers interview two of the five crew members and shared all that they do. From strange smells to water leaks and even ice storms, the crew stays busy keeping the school running smoothly. The podcast won NPR’s Student Podcast Challenge. The eighth graders hope to make a series about what goes on behind the scenes at their school. They want to interview the cafeteria staff next.
