New Dietary Guidelines Ignore Advice To Lower Limits On Sugar And Alcohol

On Tuesday, the federal government released the new dietary guidelines. A committee of 20 doctors and academics recommended the limits for sugar and alcohol be cut, but they were not. The new guidelines center around the tagline “Make every bite count.” They recommend that children under age 2 not eat foods with added sugar. A new MyPlate.gov will launch to help people eat healthy.
