Some major cities, including Los Angeles and Chicago, have passed guidelines and restrictions on door to door trick-or-treating. Safety concerns will keep many families home this Halloween season. Events like the Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin Festival in San Francisco are cancelled. The Safeway World Championship Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off will continue, but with no in-person audience. Other Halloween attractions may see a 50 percent drop in attendance.
