Club Cardinal Helps Stanford Students Connect In A Virtual Campus
Club Cardinal users can decorate their own dorm rooms. (Club Cardinal)

A new website, Club Cardinal, is helping students cope with an online-only semester at Stanford. The site was created by a team of Stanford students as part of the Stanford Women in Computer Science Innovation Challenge. It won first place and was launch on August 1. Anyone with a Stanford email address can sign up for free. Users are able to make an avatar, explore the virtual campus, decorate a digital dorm room, and tune into Zoom gatherings. There are different events to get involved in, like “coffee chats” with faculty members, Q&As with upperclassmen, and even class reunions. The virtual world is a great alternative to keep in touch with friends and build new connections.
