New Guidelines Set For Health And Safety As Golf Courses Reopen

Golf’s leading organizations came together to create guidelines for courses and clubs as they begin to open after the COVID-19 shutdown. New practices fall under three phases: individual, restricted, and “New Normal.” The individual phase will include walking instead of using a cart, no rakes for sand traps, and modified holes so player’s don’t touch the flag. The restricted phase will be similar but will allow for larger groups of up to 50 people. In the “New Normal,” golf places can run as normal but should include extra cleaning and social distancing practices.
