The 133th Wimbledon is canceled after growing concerns for public health due to the coronavirus outbreak. The decision came April 1 after tournament organizer the All England Club (AELTC) held an emergency meeting. Due to limited time and space, moving the event to a later date was not possible. Top athletes were “shook” and “devastated” by the news. Wimbledon was set to begin June 29. The 134th tournament will start June 28, 2021.
