Seniors of Cedarburg, Wisconsin, are getting a ride around the community. On bikes. These special bikes are pedaled by a “pilot”. Riders sit up front on a two-wheeled chair. The idea was started by an organization, Cycling Without Age, in Denmark. Now it’s being done in the US. Volunteer pilots get training before pedaling residents of a senior living campus around town. It’s a positive experience for everyone. Even nursing staff and community members feel the excitement.
