The Virginia Association of Museums has published its annual list of historical artifacts most in need of preservation, and it includes three items from the Civil War. The 20 artifacts on the list will be voted on by the public to determine which are most deserving of funding. The Civil War artifacts on the list are a suit once worn by Robert E. Lee, a collection of genealogical documents, and a gun carriage from the USS Monitor. Voting on the artifacts runs through Aug. 31.
