Boyle County is sometimes called the birthplace of Kentucky. The Kentucky Constitution was signed in Danville’s Constitution Square. But Boyle County is also rich in American history, specifically as it relates to the Civil War. That’s why the Convention & Visitor’s Bureau has come out with a brochure and mobile app to guide visitors down the Civil War Trail. The app contains audio and a driving tour of the trial via GPS. The tour’s final stop is the site of the Battle of Perryville, one of the bloodiest battles of the Civil War.
