The War of 1812 featured intense naval battles between state-of-the-art ships. Now one Canadian man is creating replicas of military watercraft used in the conflict. Michael Laforet must hand-make materials used on his replica ships. Making one vessel can take him up to 500 hours. Laforet hopes his replica ships bring attention to historical events.
