In order to engage kids in science and the legislative process, Rep. Jack Lewis hatched a plan. The state representative set up a poll on Twitter to pick the state’s official dinosaur. He wanted to show kids how a bill gets approved. The poll was an instant hit. More than 35,000 votes were cast. In a virtual event on Feb. 4, the Museum of Science announced a winner: Podokesaurus holyokensis, a mid-Jurassic dino that lived in Massachusetts 195-180 million years ago.
