San Diego Fund Created To Help Immigrants During Coronavirus Outbreak

Workers across the U.S. have been hurt by the COVID-19 pandemic. Shelter-in-place orders have limited travel and dining. This has led to layoffs. Immigrants have been hit hard given their numbers in the hospitality industry. Undocumented persons are especially challenged; they cannot apply for government assistance. To help, the San Diego Immigrant Rights Consortium is offering $500 grants to immigrants. As of April 2020, a total of $10,000 is available. Priority goes to families making their first application for aid.
