Teenager Creates Jobs For Homeless People

Kevin Barber started Wheels of Change in San Diego. He was in high school at the time. Now, in 2019, the program is expanding. A van takes homeless people around the city to pick up trash. They are paid an hourly wage. The workers get an opportunity to learn about resources, too. Not only is San Diego cleaner, but the workers have a sense of purpose. And feel positive about doing something for their community.
