An old map might hold an important clue to the lost colony of Roanoke. Historians have taken a closer look at a 425-year-old map in London’s British Museum. It shows a four-pointed star where the colonists might have settled. The star is located in what is now North Carolina. A golf resort currently exists there. An archaeological dig could uncover the answer. And it could also put to rest some wild ideas about what happened to the colonists.
