The road trips will be long. But now Utah’s youth lacrosse players can dream of taking the field one day for their state’s premier program. After a year of fundraising and planning, the University of Utah officially added men’s lacrosse as a varsity sport to debut in 2019. Utah is the first Pac-12 Conference school to add lacrosse, and will be the westernmost Division I program. Denver and Air Force will be the closest opponents. The ACC, Big Ten and Big East are potential conferences for the Utes.
