Since 2007, civil rights icon Rosa Parks has shared a Montgomery, Alabama, historical marker with country signer Hank Williams. Soon Parks will have her own tribute. A representative of the Montgomery Improvement Association said both Parks and Williams deserve their own markers. Parks’ new sign will be revealed in December of this year — 60 years after she refused to leave her seat on a Montgomery bus so a white passenger could sit there. Williams will be getting his own marker, too, but officials are still deciding where to place it.
