When terrorists stormed the offices of a French publication and killed 12 people earlier this month, they did so with an arsenal made up mostly of guns and heavy weaponry. That continued a trend, officials warned, of terrorists moving away from bombs and explosives as their weapons of choice. This might be because guns and other heavy weaponry are easier to obtain and to move from place to place. And while explosives might be able to cause more destruction, some believe gun attacks are more brazen, personal and controlled.
