Even the Statue of Liberty is dressing up for Halloween this year. Kind of.
The designer of a new menswear brand wanted some big advertising, so he decided to give Lady Liberty a bow tie on Halloween. But the bow tie won’t actually be tied to the statue. Only the National Parks Service can grant approval to do that. So instead, the designer plans to dangle 35 pounds of nylon from a helicopter so that it hovers in front of the statue. His team will hold the bow tie in place just long enough to snap some photos.
Not everyone is happy about this plan. The National Parks Service said it would stop the plan if it could. Only time will tell if the designer pulls off his trick.
