The Yankees honored hall of fame catcher Yogi Berra, who died on September 22, 2015, at the age of 90. Prior to a game against the White Sox, Yankee Stadium was the site of a moving tribute that showed highlights from the catcher’s career. Yankees catchers then placed a bouquet of flowers — shaped in No. 8 to honor Berra — behind home plate.
