Warming temperatures can cause defects in potatoes, like bumps and knobs. Diseases and pests spread more easily among potato plants in higher temps. It also makes storing the potatoes properly harder. Droughts and excess rain also bring challenges to the crop. Farmers are partnering with climate experts to come up with solutions.
