After exploring every option, organizers cancelled the British Open, set to take place July 16-19. The tournament joins other major sporting events cancelled due to COVID-19. The U.S. Open, the Masters, and the PGA Championship will all also be rescheduled due the pandemic. The U.S. Open is scheduled to take place Sept. 17–20.
