Scientists Ask For Help Saving Monarch Butterflies

Monarch butterflies are known for migration. Scientists have discovered that western monarchs aren’t flying as far as they used to. Also, their population is being depleted. In 2018, the number of western monarchs dropped by 86 percent. Researchers are asking the public for help in finding answers. They want people to send them pictures of any monarch butterfly observed in spring 2020. These images may help scientists better understand problems facing the western monarch.
