Coronaviruses like severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) are thought to have originated with an animal. Researchers are trying to identify the latest source of coronavirus which causes COVID-19. SARS is believed to have come from a civet. Scientists speculate that the current coronavirus, came from a pangolin or a bat. There is not enough evidence to make a conclusion.
