On Saturday, March 7, 2020, Sara Brewer reached the shores of Antigua along with her rowing partner Ann Prestidge. This date marks the last day of an 86-day journey across the Atlantic, making 64-year-old Brewer the oldest woman to row across an ocean. The pair were the final finishers of a challenge to race to row over 3,000 miles across the Atlantic. Brewer only took up rowing six years before this feat after being inspired by “The Crossing” by James Cracknell and Ben Fogle.
