The Novel Coronovirus pandemic has people stuck in their homes around the world. Also called COVID-19, the virus has infected hundreds of thousands with many passing away from the condition. While the virus has created a new and dangerous reality, people around the world are looking to song to create hope for a better, safer future. Neighborhood sing-alongs have broken out in large US cities like New York, Boston, and Dallas. In Chicago, residents united to sing Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ on a Prayer.” One resident was thankful for a “beautiful way to join together and share a brief moment of happiness in unity.”
