New Discoveries At Blick Mead Could Help Answer Mysteries Of Stonehenge

Archeologists think Blick Mead could be the home of Stonehenge’s first construction crew. Research released in November 2019 detail an excavation of the site that included over 70,000 stone tools. At only about 1 mile (1.6 km) away from Stonehenge, many scientists suggest a connection between these tools and the mysterious monument. Inhabitants of Blick Mead date to the Mesolithic age. If this new theory is true, then Stonehenge is much older than scientists previously thought. Another connection includes the remains of a ceremonial platform at Blick Mead. Cow skulls were found both near the platform and around Stonehenge.
