In November 2019, scientists discovered the preserved remains of a dog-like creature. Permafrost in eastern Siberia kept the body in almost perfect condition. Complete with nose, fur, and teeth, the animal is believed to be 18,000 years old. Researchers aren’t sure if this male canine was a wolf or a dog. Modern dogs are believed to have evolved from wolves during the Paleolithic age. But when and where is still a big question. This discovery could provide the missing link. Scientists will run more DNA tests to find out.
