In the summer of 2018, a new musical opened at a London theater. “The Broken Wings” was based on an early novel by poet Kahlil Gibran. Soon after, a new exhibition opened at a London gallery. “Kahlil Gibran: A Guide for Our Times” featured works by 38 living artists. All of the art was inspired by Gibran. Some works were portraits of the man who wrote “The Prophet” nearly 100 years ago. Some were responses to Gibran’s message of peace, love, and understanding. The exhibition was organized by a London charity that uses the arts for peace-building.
