Nigeria Lowers Age Limit For Seeking Presidency

Many young people in Nigeria have felt kept out of the political system. A new law may help younger Nigerians get elected to public office. The law lowers the age requirement to become president from 40 to 35. This reduction in the minimum age requirement is inspiring a new generation to seek the presidency. The 2019 elections will be the first opportunity for younger Nigerians to run.
