New Constitution Brings Changes To Cuba

In most countries, people can own a home. For decades, however, citizens of Cuba haven’t been free to buy property. The nation’s state-led Communist economy placed all property in the hands of the government. Now the approval of a new constitution will allow people to own a home. Additional changes in the new constitution will have big effects on Cuba’s economy, government, and society. These developments are meant to modernize the island nation.
