It used to be that gamers only played video games at home. No longer. Stadiums for esports are popping up all over North America. Canada’s first venue for competitive gaming will open in Vancouver, British Columbia, in 2019. Features of the stadium include a massive gaming stage, seats for up to 250 people, and a broadcasting studio. Between League of Legends and DOTA 2 sessions, gamers will be able to relax in a lounge with snacks and drinks.
