The city of Los Angeles honored legendary Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully by renaming a local road Vin Scully Avenue. The iconic broadcaster has called Dodgers games for 67 seasons — dating back to their time in Brooklyn, New York — but plans to retire after this season. No broadcaster in professional sports history has been with a single team for as long as Scully has been with the Dodgers. The Los Angeles city council voted unanimously to change the name of Elysian Park Avenue to honor Scully. The road leads from Sunset Boulevard to Dodger Stadium.
