University of Minnesota scientists have developed a plan to keep Asian carp from advancing up the Mississippi River. Their plan would use a combination of jets of water to blow the invasive fish back, as well as loud noises, air bubbles and underwater lights to scare them away. Now they just need to secure money so they can put this plan into place.
