A group at Columbia University is studying the effectiveness of anti-bullying laws. The researchers found some laws were more effective than others. Laws with one or more U.S. Department of Education anti-bullying policy recommendations had more success. According to the study, 20 percent fewer teens reported cyberbullying in these states, and 24 percent fewer reported bullying. Laws that define bullying are also more effective.
