A recent report released by UNESCO found that India is falling behind other countries in terms of broadband connections. Out of 189 developed countries observed in the study, India ranked 131 — six places lower than it was in 2014. The study brings concerns to the “Digital India” initiative that is currently in place by India’s prime minister to increase high-speed internet connectivity to all corners of the country.
