The emerald ash borer is invading Simcoe County in Ontario, Canada. The insect infests ash trees, eating away at the trees just beneath the bark and almost always killing them. The Simcoe County Forestry is working out ways to protect their 32,000 acres (12,950 hectares) of forest from this pest and educating residents about how to keep the bugs from harming their own trees.
