Research has recently shown that less than half of Americans are investing in the stock market. Most people say that they cannot afford to invest. Others say that they do not want to take a risk in the market. The U.S. stock market recently reached record highs, a good thing for those who have invested. According to one expert, those who invested within the past five years have doubled their money. Yet, more than 53% of Americans are still doubtful of the stock market and choose not to invest.
