Brandon Terrell is the author of numerous children’s books, with topics ranging from sports to spooky stories to swash-buckling adventures. When not hunched over his laptop writing, Brandon enjoys watching movies, reading, and spending time with his wife and two children.
Brandon Terrell’s 12 Stories
Story 1
I was born and raised in the small town of Eagle Lake, Minnesota, about 4 miles (6.4 km) outside of Mankato.
Story 2
My family and I live in St. Paul, Minnesota. My wife and two kids are the coolest people I know, and they make me laugh every day.
Story 3
I’ve read more than 150 Hardy Boys mysteries.
Story 4
My favorite sports are baseball and golf.
Story 5
I grew up playing first base and wearing the number 14 in honor of my favorite baseball player, Kent Hrbek.
Story 6
I went to the Minneapolis College of Art & Design, where I graduated with a BFA in Film. I then worked for about a decade on numerous television commercials and on several locally-shot feature films.
Story 7
I am also a screenwriter for "The Choo Choo Bob Show," an Emmy award-winning children’s television program about trains.
Story 8
My friends and I have our own paranormal ghost-hunting group, and we have spent the night in several supposedly haunted houses.

I would really love to travel in time and am constantly waiting for Future-Me to show up and tell Current-Me that my wish came true.
Story 10
I’ve collected comic books since I was a kid, and have stacks of long boxes filled with back issues in my basement. (Bonus fact: Spider-Man is my all-time favorite superhero!)

A teacher once told me, “In order to be a great writer, you have to be a great reader.” So I read every day.

When I grow up, I want to be Indiana Jones.
