Imagine an enormous galaxy light years away spiraling toward our own Milky Way. This may seem science fiction. It’s not. Astronomers have discovered a galaxy that’s 60 million light-years away—but getting closer. Images from Hubble telescope show a spiral galaxy named Messier 90 moving nearer solar system. While it’s not likely to arrive anytime soon, it is a rare phenomenon. Because the universe is constantly expanding, most galaxies are moving away.
