The International Ski Federation (FIS) rejected a request to postpone the 2021’s skiing world championships in Italy. The request was brought forth with concerns for safety. But the FIS said the expected loss of revenue—$34 million—would be too high. The worlds will continue with safe protocols. If public safety becomes too at-risk, the FIS will reassess closer to the event.
