USA Swimming modified their events schedule for 2020-2021 in light of the global pandemic. Instead of national events, like USA Swimming Sectionals and the Speedo Summer Championships, the organization will create 14-16 regionally focused events. These will keep athletes from needing to travel so far and help keep a safer environment for the competitions. The U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Swimming was also rescheduled for June 13-20, 2021.
