The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration found a sunken ship on the floor of the ocean. It is resting in the Gulf of Mexico off the coast of Florida. A remotely operated vehicle (ROV) discovered the ship during a routine test in May of 2019. The remains of the wooden vessel suggest that it was built in the mid-1800s. It is believed to have caught fire before sinking. Where did the ship come from? And what was its purpose? These questions are still a mystery.
