As Aquifer Levels Drop, Mexico City Sinks

Mexico City has a water problem. There isn’t enough of it. During dry months, many people in the city don’t have enough water to meet basic needs. Part of the problem is that water levels are dropping in the aquifer that supplies much of the city’s supply. This reservoir of water is below the city. Dwindling water levels are causing another problem: The city is sinking.
