November 2019 marked 30 years since the fall of the Berlin Wall. The structure was built following World War II to divide communist East Germany from West Germany. After decades of tension between the countries the wall was torn down and Germany reunified. On the 30th anniversary of the wall’s fall more than 100,000 people celebrated at Berlin’s Brandenberg Gate.
