Hall Of Fame Inductee Aims To Change The Perception Of Disability

Chris Waddell was injured while skiing. He later became a Paralympian. And was inducted into the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Hall of Fame in 2019. He started an organization, One Revolution, to change attitudes about disabilities. The program “Nametags” looks at how we label people. It’s used in schools to educate students. Labels can be limiting. Waddell focuses on the positive. The abilities of people are emphasized. Their motto: “It’s not what happens to you, it’s what you do with what happens.”
