SpaceX hasn’t even built the rocket yet, but the first civilian space traveler has booked his trip around the moon—and he’s planning to bring friends. The passenger has been identified as Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa, artist, musician, clothing designer, and entrepreneur. He’d like to invite as many as eight fellow artists on the week-long voyage, tentatively planned for 2023. SpaceX CEO Elon Musk didn’t reveal the ticket price but said it would cover a good portion of the $5 billion price tag needed to develop and build the spaceship.
