Over the past 20 years, photographer Thomas Peschak has focused on the African country of Namibia, a place he calls his “creative sanctuary.” His fascination with the harsh desert landscape shows in his work: amazing images of side-winding snakes, African penguins, yawning jackals, ever-changing dunes, and more. Peschak never knows what he might find in this magical place where sand meets sea—and it’s the mystery that keeps him coming back.
