Katie Sowers, a graduate of the Bill Walsh NFL Minority Coaching Fellowship, will soon wear the same colors that Walsh did in three Super Bowl championships. Sowers will join the staff of the San Francisco 49ers as an assistant coach, the second woman to hold a full-time coaching position in NFL history. Sowers was previously a summer intern with the Atlanta Falcons, and before that played and coached in women’s pro football.
