By the end of 2017, Norway will shut off its FM radio signals. All radio programs will switch to digital broadcasting. Experts claim that digital signals will cost less and improve sound quality. However, two-thirds of Norwegians said they opposed the change. Norway will be the first country to completely discontinue FM radio. But several other countries have also considered switching to digital signals. These countries are watching Norway’s transition carefully.
