Larry Fitzgerald Catches 100th Career Touchdown In Loss

Opponents waiting for Arizona Cardinals star Larry Fitzgerald to slow down are going to have to keep waiting. The 33-year-old receiver kicked off his 13th NFL season with a brilliant eight-catch effort for 81 yards and two touchdowns against the New England Patriots. Fitzgerald’s second touchdown of the night was the 100th of his career, which put him in an eighth-place tie for the most in NFL history. He also extended his streak of consecutive games with a catch to 180, most among active players. Fitzgerald was brilliant on Arizona’s last drive as the Cardinals got themselves in position to attempt a game-winning field goal; however, kicker Matt Catanzaro missed it wide left. New England hung on to win 23-21.
